Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, SC Deptt. Punjab Pardesh Congress Chairman Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal today informed the media that National celebration committee headed by AICC president Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Co-chaired by party vice president Sh. Rahul Gandhi Ji has been formed to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji at a grand scale. This celebrations started today at Congress Bhawan Chandigarh 14th April and will continue till 14th April 2016 at Nagpur. On this occasion prominent leaders from SC Deptt. Of various districts and PPCC from all across the state joined Dr. Raj Kumar in Baba Sahib’s Jayanti Celebrations.
Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal told that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar the architect of our nation was a liberal and democrat to the core in thought and action. He worked along with Jawahar Lal Nehru, Patel, Maulana Azad, Rajindera Parsad and many other congress leaders to give shape to our constitution that promotes democratic values of justice, liberty, equality, fraternity and that is anchored in secularizations and social justice.
Dr. Raj Kumar told that formal Celebrations have been started in Punjab Pradesh Congress Bhawan today in Chandigarh and similarly at national, District and block levels this very day.
The celebration seeks to revisit the life of Baba Sahib and reassert his relevance said Chairman Dr. Raj. He also told about a major event being planned at his birth place Mhow in Madhya Pradesh where both Sonia Ji and Rahul Ji will be present. National celebration committee will chalk out the plan and execute the yearly celebrations at AICC and PCC level ending on 14th April 2016 at Nagpur.
Asked about the stand of BJP on great Baba Sahib, Dr. Raj told that it has been always dubious as Jan-Sangh which is a major partner of BJP, has always opposed Baba Sahib’s ideologies and it was opposition of “HINDU CODE BILL” by Jan-Sangh who led to resignation of Dr. Ambedkar from law ministry. BJP always keeps on praising Baba Sahib but never discusses his ideologies. So they always take a opportunistic stand on Baba Sahib.
Dr. Raj told that lot of people in india are not aware of the contribution of great Dr. B.R.Ambedkar who did his P.hd. in economics from Columbia University and wrote so many usefull books. Origin of “Reserve Bank of India” came from Baba Sahib ideas. Apart from being the writer of constitution of india, he fought for empowerment of women and always worked and campaigned against social discrimination of dalits and war responsible for the policy of reservation.
