New Delhi, June 24: The Congress today evening demanded resignation of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on the basis of what the party asserted was fresh and irrefutable evidence against her of supporting fugitive Lalit Modi.
Party spokesman Jairam Ramesh produced a document at a news conference purported to have been signed by Raje supporting Modi’s plea for stay in England. The Earlier document that was in circulation was unsigned. The document is dated August, 2011.
Ramesh said his party would press for three resignations beginning with Raje and then followed by that of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and HRD Minister Smriti Irani.
