CANCELS ALL HIS PRE-SCHEDULED ENGAGEMENTS TODAY IN VIEW OF FEVER

Chandigarh, July 28: The Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal would visit the residence of SP (D) Baljit Singh tomorrowat Kapurthala to share his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and also meet the families of three Punjab home guards and three civilians who lost their lives in the Dina Nagar terror attack on Monday.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Mr. Badal would also visit the families of grieved families of Punjab Home Guards (PHG) Des Raj, Bodh Raj and Sukhdev Singh, who attained martyrdom along with SP (D) Mr. Baljit Singh while displaying unparalleled valor, commitment and patriotism during the call of their duty.

Apart from these, the Chief Minister would also call on the bereaved families of the deceased civilians including Mr. Amarjeet Singh (Dina Nagar), Mrs. Nirmala Devi (Village Awakha, Dina Nagar) and Mr.Ghulam Rasul (village Shahpur, Dina Nagar), who died during the terror attack at Dina Nagar on Monday.

The spokesperson further said that, the Chief Minister despite his ill health closely monitored the entire operation to flush out terrorists from Police station, Dina Nagar throughout the day and even visited the injured to enquire their well being at Guru Nanak Hospital in Amritsar, the moment they were rushed for treatment after the attack. Meanwhile, Mr. Badal has canceled all his pre-scheduled engagements and meetings slated for today to take rest on the advice of Doctors attending on him, as he was still down with fever.
