OTTAWA — Closing arguments in the trial of Sen. Mike Duffy will be heard Feb. 22 to March 4.
Judge Charles Vaillancourt says he wants to see written submissions from the Crown and the defence in advance.
He says he hopes that will focus their arguments and perhaps reduce the two weeks set aside for the wrap-up.
Testimony in the long-running trial ended this week when the Crown finished its cross-examination of Duffy.
In all, the court heard 61 days of testimony.
Duffy has pleaded not guilty to 31 charges of fraud, breach of trust and bribery.
