The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate PS Kaleka on Friday adjourned the hearing in an alleged income tax evasion case against Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh till July 3.
The case was fixed for consideration on an application moved by the Income Tax Department seeking permission of the court to produce certain important documents on record in evidence. But that application could not be decided today.
In its complaint, the department has alleged that the accused wilfully attempted to evade taxes and penalties imposable under I-T Act, which was an offence punishable under the I-T Act.
