Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
CHANDIGARH, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh today thanked the people of Punjab and his party colleagues and leaders for the grand success of the rally at Bathinda yesterday without whose support, he said, it could not have been possible.
“As I feel humbled and overwhelmed with the mammoth support you all have extended to me, I also understand your expectations and realise the serious responsibility you have put on my shoulders”, Capt Amarinder said in a statement issued here today.
“We have made a great beginning together and it would certainly not have been possible without your support and cooperation”, the PCC president said in a special message to his party colleagues and all the senior leaders, adding, “let us together take our mission to the logical conclusion and handover the Congress government to the millions of party workers who have great expectations from us”.
He said, this is not only important for the party, but also Punjab that needs to be saved politically, socially and economically. “People of Punjab are looking forward to us with great expectations as was reflected in their overwhelming support to us yesterday at Bathinda and we must come up to their expectations at all costs, come what may”, he added.
Capt Amarinder reiterated that he will take along everybody and it will always be a team effort. “My doors have always remained open and these will always remain open for my party colleagues and workers for the betterment of the party and Punjab”, he said, while asserting that the mission launched yesterday from Bathinda will be accomplished with the Congress government in Punjab in 2017 for which the bugle has been blown and the party rank and file is already in the battle gear.
