Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
CHANDIGARH, August 11: Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh today hailed the successful conclusion of the Punjab Youth Congress elections. He congratulated the newly elected team of office bearers including the PYC president Amarpreet Singh Lally.
In a statement issued here today, Capt Amarinder said, the youth Congress workers and delegates have set an example by maintaining the dignity of the election process in the most disciplined manner.
“I congratulate all those who participated in the elections including those who were elected and those who could not be as what matters is the active participation of the new generation of our young leaders in the process”, he said.
In a special message for those who could not make it to the final list this time, the former Chief Minister said, “the whole process would have been incomplete without your participation and all of you are as important to the party as anybody else”.
He said, these elections have imbibed a spirit of competitiveness among the young and next generation of the party leaders. “The spirit and energy exhibited by our young and upcoming leaders in these elections has convinced me that Congress party has a strong future ahead”, he remarked.
