Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh today expressed shock over the immolation bid by a woman outside the residence of the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
In a statement issued here today, Capt Amarinder said, this was reflective of the overall failure of the government in addressing the pressing issues and the problem of unemployment in particular.
He pointed out, on the one hand the Chief Minister was claiming to reach out to people by holding sanghat darshan, while actually his doors were closed for the needy like the woman who was not allowed to meet the CM and ultimately tried to end her life.
