CHANDIGARH, December 22: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh today ordered an inquiry into the allegations and spat between Dr Malti Thapar, Darshan Singh Brar and his son Kamaljeet Singh Brar in Moga on December 19.
An internal party inquiry has been ordered by the PCC president to be headed by PCC senior vice president, Mr Laal Singh, after the reports on the issue appeared in the media on Tuesday.
So far, none of the leaders has approached the PCC president and the matter came to his notice through the newspaper reports today only.
Capt Amarinder appealed to the concerned party leaders to exercise restraint. He said, the matter will be properly inquired into and both sides will be given proper hearing.
Mr Singh has been asked to submit his report within one week. Once the inquiry is completed further action will be taken in the matter.
