Legendary singer Asha Bhosle posted a cryptic tweet in the wake of a controversy over alleged beating up incidents in the name of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans.
On Saturday, the 85-year-old singer wrote: “Dum Maro Dum…Bolo Subh Shyam Hare Krishna Hare Ram…Can I perform this evergreen song or not?”
Bhosle’s tweet ended up dividing Twitter. Tweeple interpreted that Bhosle’s tweet implied if people have a problem with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants, how soon would a song having ‘Hare Krishna Hare Ram’ would be questioned.
