Bowlers script MI’s 14-run win over Delhi Daredevils

kolkata, Kiwi paceman Mitchell McClenaghan scalped three wickets as Mumbai Indians pipped Delhi Daredevils by 14 runs to continue their dominating run in the IPL here tonight.
Daredevils restricted the hosts 142/8 but were terrible in their run chase, managing just 128/7 in 20 overs.
Leg-spinner Amit Mishra returned figures of 2/18 while Australian paceman Pat Cummins (2/20) also chipped in with two wickets.
It was a collective bowling effort from Daredevils with Kagiso Rabada (1/30) and skipper Zaheer Khan also contributing in choking the Mumbai line-up. However, the batsmen could not complement the good work done by the bowlers and suffered their fourth loss in six matches.
Daredevils were gasping at 24/6 inside the seventh over after McClenaghan (3/24) wreaked havoc. A 91-run partnership between Rabada (44) and Chris Morris (52) raised hopes but it only reduced the defeat margin. Mumbai Indians consolidated their position at the top with sixth win in a row.
