BJYM TO ORGANIZE RACE AGAINST DRUGS ON INTERNATIONAL ANTI-DRUG DAY

Chandigarh, 22 June: Continuing raising the issue of drugs, the Punjab unit of Bharitya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has decided to organize awareness races in every district headquarters of Punjab on the occasion of International Anti-drug day on June 26.

A meeting regarding organization of awareness race was organised in Chandigarh which was chaired by State BJP secretary & Incharge BJYM Dr.Subhash Sharma & Punjab BJYM Chief Mohit Gupta.

In a press release issued by BJYM it was disclosed that the youth wing of the BJP will contact every NGOs, sports and youth clubs to take part in this race to be organised to create awareness among the youth against the use of drugs.

Gupta said that the BJYM has been given the task of creating awareness over the issue by the state BJP leaders and the yuva morcha would accept it as a challenge to eradicate the evil of drugs. He said that already the BJYM was running number of programmes against the drug abuse and the effort of the BJP is to sensitize the youth against the drugs.

The duties regarding the programme were also distributed in the meeting. The district level incharges made for this programme include Shivbir Singh for Amritsar, Rajiv Kalra for Barnala, Deepanshu Ghai for Gurdaspur, Peri Goyal for Bathinda, Balwinder Singh Maan for Faridkot, Kamaljeet Singh for Ferozepur, Amit Gosain for Hoshiapur, Amit Sampla for Jalandhar, Mohit Sood for Kapurthala, Honey Bedi for Moga, Gaurav Chibbar for Ludhiana, Yadvinder Singh Shenty for Mansa, Sushil Sharma for Mohali, Sumit Sabbarwal for Muktsar, Bhanu Partap for Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Rahul Maheshwari for Pathankot, Anuj Shahdiya for Patilaa, Gagan Battra for Ropar, Manish Singla for Sangrur and Vikram Aery for Tarantaran.
