Jalandhar, The Punjab unit of the BJP today got shot in the arm when many big personalities from different spheres joined the BJP in presence of Union Health Minister Jagat Parkash Nadda during the inauguration of the membership drive of the Punjab BJP in Jalandhar.
The main personalities who joined BJP in presence of Nadda, include family of Shaheed Sukhdev and his maternal grandson Vishal Nayyar, Managing Director of Avon Cycles Onkar Singh Pahwa; former Congress chief minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal’s niece Rosy Bhattal, Mamta Dutt Niece of Former Union Minister & Actor Late Sh.Sunil Dutt,former DGP of Punjab Police Samar Vijay Singh,wife of owner managing director of Desh Bhagat University Tejinder Zora Singh, senior BSP leader Kewal Krishan Chauhan,Oyster group MD Jagmohan singh Naamdhari,former IFS Officer & Rai Sikh leader Gurdeep Singh Badwaal, former DSP Puran Singh Badwal, former IFS Rajinder Bhagat, Tagore Hospital Kuldeep Singh, Real Estate businessman Jarnail Singh Bajwa, Ludhiana’s famous businessmen Rakesh Kapur and Kuldeep Singh Dhariwal, NRI Laxman Bangar,Congress leader Harish Sharma, Industrialist BC Nagpal,CA J.R Gupta and Industrialist Vimal Jain.
Earlier, launching party’s membership drive, Nadda said that the membership drive launched by the BJP is the biggest by any party in any democratic set-up of the country after this drive, BJP would emerge as the biggest political party on the globe.
The Union Minister said that in this drive, people from all walks of life would be made member of the party from every nook and corner of the state in a transparent and crystal clear method.
He said that this is for the first time happening in the history of democracy of the world that a party has launched a toll free number 18002662020 urging each and every individual persons to make a call on this number and register themselves for themembership.
On opposition dig at “Acche Din” remarks, Nadda said that the “acche din” promised by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the Lok Sabha polls have already arrived as this was for the first that the inflation has reached at its lowest level in last six years.
“Diesel has got cheaper and the country’s pride before the other nations has gone sky high. Our neighboring countries have started respecting us and those who tried to breach the code of faith on the border were giving befitting reply,” said Nadda.
State BJP chief Kamal Sharma in his address welcomed Nadda and said that state unit would reach the target of making 25 lacs members of the party from Punjab.He said state unit of BJP will touch every section of the society during this membershipcampaign. On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment,Vijay Sampla, Cabinet Ministers Chunni Lal Bhagat, Anil Joshi, Surjit Jyani, National secretary of the BJP Tarun Chugh,Sh.Ajay Jamwal former ministers Manorajan Kalia, Tikshan Sood, CPS’s KD Bhandari, Som Parkash, BJP’s membershipincharge Vinod Sharma were also present on the occasion.
