Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Bikram Singh Majithia slammed Congress for appointing Ajay Maken as the Chairman of the Screening Committee for shortlisting candidates for the next Vidhan Sabha elections in Punjab.
Majithia tweeted, “By appointing @ajaymaken as Screening Committee chairman for allotment of tickets for 2022 assembly elections in Punjab, Gandhi family has sent a clear signal to #SikhCommunity that it would continue to reward kith & kin of leaders who had massacred Sikhs at its command in 1984.”
He added, “It is shocking that Gandhis have chosen to reward the family of Lalit Maken who led mobs that pillaged Sikh properties & Gurdwaras, killing thousands of Sikhs on the streets of Delhi. Another perpetrator Jagdish Tytler was also elevated to a top-level party committee.”
