Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Recently appointed Vice- Chairperson of the Punjab State Women’s Commission, Bibi Satvir Kaur Manhera today assumed the charge of office.
Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra MP, Anandpur Sahib, , Advisor to Deputy Chief Minister S. Charanjit Singh Brar, Chairperson of Punjab State Women’s Commission, Bibi Paramjit Kaur landran ,Member SS Board, Mrs. Surinder Kaur Dyal , Avneet Kaur Khalsa Ludhiana, Hardev Singh, Harminder Singh Rana, Satwant Kaur Johal Member PSWC, Simarjit Kaur Sidhu Member PSWC, Bibi Kuldeep Kaur Kang, Palwinder Kaur Rani President Ropar, Darshan Singh Shivjot and Manmohan Kaur Mohali.
After assuming the charge, Bibi Manhera said that she would carry forward the programmes and policies of the Punjab government to safeguard the interests of women in the state. She would extensively tour around the state to find out the difficulties being faced by women especially in rural areas.
