Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Partap Singh Bajwa would continue to be the President of the Punjab Congress so long as he enjoyed the confidence of party chief Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
This was announced here today by AICC General Secretary and incharge of Punjab affairs while addressing a news conference on the first day of the week long exercise to interact with the party leaders to chalk out the strategy to revive the party. This exercise would be taken to the district level.
Those present in the meeting, included AICC Secretary Harish Chaudhary, Bajwa, CLP leader Sunil Jakhar, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Lal Singh and orher leaders and MLAs.
The meeting adopted a resolution expressing complete solidarity with former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh who has been summoned by the court in the coal blocks allocation case.
