Chatham, Ont. — A bail hearing is scheduled today for a southwestern Ontario man accused of threatening to blow up the Parliament buildings in Ottawa.
Chatham-Kent police say David Osterbrook, 49, was arrested Friday and charged with one count of hoax — terrorist activity, and one count of uttering threats.
He is accused of phoning the Library of Parliament and saying he wanted to blow up Parliament as part of a “revolution” against Parliament Hill.
Police say they were contacted by RCMP to follow up on the alleged threat.
