Moga, People’s Party of Punjab chief Manpreet Singh Badal today held Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal criminally liable for the death of a young Arshdeep Kaur who was mercilessly pushed out of the running Orbit bus by the staff on the highway near Baghapurana after molestation followed by her mother Shinder Kaur. He announced after meeting the family that the PPP would fund entire education of Akashdeep, brother of the victim of this gruesome tragedy involving the bus of the Badals.
“The Chief Minister expressed ignorance about the Orbit company and the transport business of the family. Then how come that the fleet multiplied from four to four hundred buses within a few years”, he asked.
He argued that Badals had the criminal liability in the case on the pattern of the Union Carbide whose owner was in USA at the time of the gas leak in which thousands of people were killed in Bhopal. The company was shut down and had to pay heavy damages. He also cited the case of Uphaar cinema in Delhi whose owner was held liable for the fire that broke out in which several people were kilkled.
Manpreet said the issue was not just of moral responsibility but involved in this case was the criminal liability.
He ridiculed the state government for putting the life of the young girl at Rs 20 lakh and a class IV job for a member of the family.
He said the PPP would finance entire education of her brother.
