Badal prefers to be mum over Majithia quitting as YAD chief

Bathinda, Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, on Sunday, preferred to remain silent over the announcement of resignation as president of the Youth Akali Dal (YAD) made by cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia. Majithia had said on Friday that he was going to resign from the party post very soon. When asked to comment, Badal said, “Only Sukhbir Singh Badal can comment on it as he is president of the party and this issue comes under his realm.”

Badal was here to thank people for by-election’s in which Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu of SAD had won. Majithia had also said that it was very important to remain in good books of the chief minister.
