* EDUCATION MINISTER OFFERS DEEP CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILIES OF DECEASED
Chandigarh, Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal and the deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal today expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic accident involving the female kabaddi players whose car met with an accident today killing two people on spot.
The students were returning with two other people after taking part in 60th national school games being held at village Badal. While two people died in accident, all the four players have received injuries and are out of danger.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal and deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Badal prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed souls and courage to their families bear this huge loss in this hour of crisis. The Chief Minister also directed the district authorities to provide the best medical facilities and treatment to the injured at free of cost to the four injured players that include three sisters.
He also wished the injured in accident a speedy recovery. Meanwhile, theEducation Minister Punjab Dr Daljit Singh Cheema today expressed sadness over the incidence. He added that he would pay a visit to the injured players at Faridkot hospital at 8 am to enquire about their health. He also talked to the medical superintendent of hospital on phone about the treatment being given to players. He also directed the Faridkot education officer to visit the players at hospital.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accident took place near Jaito when the car carrying coach and players rammed into a tree. Deputy Singh and Ranjit Singh were killed on the spot, while players Lakhvir, Balvir, Jasvir and Amandeep sustained injuries.
