Attack on Kejriwal was a conspiracy by Akalis to ‘kill’ him: Sanjay Singh

CHANDIGARH, Feb-29: Condemning the attack on the Delhi Chief Minister and National Convenor of Aam Admi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal in Ludhiana today, senior party leader Sanjay Singh alleged that it was a conspiracy hatched by Akalis to “kill” Kejriwal and demanded high-level probe by sitting judge of High Court in the attack.

“It was a well-planned conspiracy hatched by Akalis to eliminate Kejriwal, who has emerged as ‘mahsiya’ for the people of Punjab”, Sanjay Singh accompanied with senior AAP leaders Durgesh Pathank, Sucha Singh Chhotepur, Himmat Singh Shergill and Youth leader of party Harjot Bains.

“Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal is responsible for the attack as it was all planned at the behest of him”, Sanjay alleged.

He claimed that presence of Harkinder Singh, younger brother of Ludhiana MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali apart from Youth Akali leaders Amandeep Singh Aulakh and Prabhdeep Singh Mangat, is enough indication for the conspiracy by Akalis to ‘kill’ Kejriwal.

Kejriwal during his five-day tour exposed Akalis for all their sins in Punjab be it poor plight of farmers and industrialists apart from menace of drug abuse, which ‘irked’ Sukhbir Badal, who allegedly hatched this conspiracy, Sanjay added.

Police was also hand-in-glove in the conspiracy as Cops deployed for security deliberately guided the convoy to an unscheduled route in the pretext of ‘safety’, where more than 100 Akali goons were already in wait for attack, He alleged.

“They were all trained goondas and were entertained with liquor and food at a nearby resort before attack”, he claimed.

“We will not bow down with such attacks, as this is what was done by BJP in Varanasi and as a result it had to taste a humiliating defeat in Delhi. Now it is turn of Punjab and Akalis will be rooted out in 2017”, Sanjay vowed.

He demanded impartial probe by a sitting judge of High Court in the attack and immediate arrest of those involved in the attack.
