Asian Games : Saurav Ghosal settles for silver

Incheon, Indian squash contingent added one more medal to country’s tally of medals when Saurav Ghosal won silver in the men’s squash event at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea today.
The Indian won the first game 12-10 against Kuwait’s Abdullah Al Muzayen in the final of the men’s single final at the Asian Games in Incheon.

While the first game of the final was a close affair, Ghosal outplayed Al Muzayen in the second game 11-2 to take 2-0 lead.

However, Abdullah Al Muzayen made a solid comeback to reduce Ghosal’s lead by winning 3rd game 14-12 to stay alive in the final. The man from Kuwait continued his good show and clinched the fourth game 8-11 to make the scoreline 2-2.

Abdullah Al Muzayen dashed Ghosal’s hopes of squash gold as he won the final game 11-9 to secure gold in men’s singles.
