Chandigarh: After announcement of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) to contest upcoming Vidhan Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, AAP Senior Leader and Sangrur Legislator, Bhagwant Mann criticized Badals for fleeing to UP after predicting huge loss in Punjab in upcoming elections. Akalis refer to AAP national leaders as outsiders in Punjab, Will not they be Outsiders there? Mann asked.
In a press statement issued by AAP today, Bhagwant Mann said that the people of Punjab are fed up with the anti-people policies of Badals in last 9 years and they are ready to dethrone the corrupt leaders in upcoming elections in 2017. He said that now the Badals are looking for a safe place to hide after the election defeat but AAP government with the help of the common people of Punjab will put these leaders behind the bar. The people of Punjab are ready to take account of the loot done by the Akali backed Land, Alcohol, Transport and Cable mafia in last 9 years of misrule.
Bhagwant Mann said that just to get the votes, Badals have always played with the feelings of the people of Punjab and tried to create hatred between the different communities. He asked Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his deputy Sukhbir Badal that how they will convince the people of UP that they are not outsider as they refer to the senior AAP leaders.
Mann said that Badals along with their near and dears have looted Punjab and now want to run off to UP but they are now exposed to an extent that in upcoming elections Badals will meet the same fate as in Delhi and Haryana.
Mann advised the leaders of Akali Dal and Congress to refrain from doing politics of hatred, racism and religious disharmony.
