Chandigarh, Ahead of launching an agitation for farmers, anti corruption crusader Anna Hazare will visit Khatkar Kalan near Banga to pay tributes to Bhagat Singh on his Martyrdom Day (March 23), said one of Anna’s aides. Speaking on the phone from Ralegan Siddhi in Maharasthra, he told The Tribune that Anna would start a
“padyatra” on farmers’ issues from Wardha, Maharastra, on March 30.
Balbir Singh Rajewal, BKU leader, who held prolonged discussions with Anna at his native place, said that the veteran anti-corruption crusader would address a farmers’ rally at Khanna on March 24.
“After paying tributes to Bhagat Singh, Anna would arrive in Samrala. The following day he would address a rally at Khanna before leaving for Uttar Pradesh to address a similar rally there on March 25,” said Rajewal. He said for the Khanna rally, a detailed programme would be announced on March 14.
