Chandigarh, BJP national president Amit Shah reviewed prime minister Narendra Modi’s dream project ‘Beti Bachao, Bethi Padhao’ in a special meeting.
Presiding over the meeting of six member BJP national committee constituted to oversee ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ programme of the government, Amit Shah said that the party was trying its best to make people aware about the perils of female foeticide and keeping girl child at home and uneducated. He said that it was unfortunate that the age-old attitude still persists in some sections of the society and needs to be changed.
It is pertinent to mention here that for the proper and expeditious implementation of Prime Minister’s ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ programme, the BJP president has constituted six member national committee which includes Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as representative of the government, Dr. Rajendra Phadke from Maharashtra, BJP national Secretary Tarun Chugh from Punjab, Ms Renu Devi from Bihar, H Raja from Tamilnadu and BS Mathur from Delhi.
Shah said that the BJP would be constituted units across the country at District, Mandal and Booth level to make this programme a success. He said BJP’s booth level workers would approach people and convey prime minister Modi’s message of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’.
BJP president said that the party understands its responsibility and would continue to play a positive and sensitive role on social issues. BJP national general secretary (organisation) Ram Lal also addressed the meeting and briefed members to do their best to make the programme a success.
BJP national leaders Sudaan Singh, V Satish and Shiv Parkash also guided and gave a presentation on the subject.
