New Delhi, A special 2G court on Monday reserved its order for October 29 on the issue of taking cognisance of the CBI chargesheet in the Aircel-Maxis case, in which former Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran, his brother Kalanithi Maran and others have been named as accused.
CBI prosecutor K K Goyal told the court that prima facie a case has been made out against all the accused and said, “This case involves investigation in foreign countries as well. Prima facie a case is made out against all the accused persons and sufficient grounds are there against them.”
On August 29, the CBI had filed chargesheet against Dayanidhi, Kalanithi and six others. Besides Marans, the CBI had named businessman T Ananda Krishnan, Malaysian Augustus Ralph Marshall and four firms as accused in the case.
