Chandigarh, Oct 23, 2018: The core committee of Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) today met here under the Chairmanship of Principal Budh Ram. Bhagwant Mann, Prof Sadhu Singh and LoP Harpal Singh Cheema and other members attended the meeting.
An official spokesman said that AAP has expanded organisational structure and Kultar Singh Sandhwan MLA from Kotkapura has been appointed President of AAP state Kisan cell and Amarjit Singh Sandoa MLA from Ropar has been appointed President of Transport cell of Punjab. Advocate Jastej Singh Arora is appointed state president of legal cell of AAP.
Three district and eight Constituency presidents have also been appointed. Among them are Jaspal Singh Datepur president district Mansa, Karamjit Singh dhindsa district Fatehgarh Sahib, and Gurdip Singh Bath district Barnala president.
Gudhayan Singh Multani is appointed incharge of Mukeria constituency, Chand Singh Gill Zira, Malkiat Singh Thind Guru Har Sahai, Suresh Gual Ludhiana central Jameer-Ur-Rehman Malerkotla, Navjot Singh Jarg from Amargarh, Jaswant Singh Narainpura Attari and Peeter Jeeda Fatehgarh Sahib. Vijay Gill is appointed co president from from Amritsar South, Kulwant Singh is co-president from Fatehgarh Churian, In the Mahila Wing Parminder Samagh is made president of district Mansa and Malkiat Kaur is made General Secretary.
Principal Budh Singh said that party has decided to give preference to party workers for the ticfkets in Lok Sabha elections of 2019. He said that AAP volunteers with clean image and good refutation would be considered. He said thatd first phase of screening of candidates would be completed by November 2018 and final list will be declared by December end. He said that all candiates will be finalised by core committee of Punjab and names will be sent to central party for approval. He clarified so far no candidate has been announce for the Lok Sabha.
The core committee paid tributes to victims of Amritsar rail tragedy. Vhagwant Mann said that nio clean chit should be given to Railway before an inquiry is conducted. He demanded a probe into the railway’s role in the accident.
