Jalandhar, The Aam Aadmi Party today removed Sucha Singh Chhotepur from the party’s Punjab convener post. The decision was taken in the party’s executive committee meeting in New Delhi.
“Chhotepur had not worked according to the constitution of the party. Some of his activities did not suit the party as he did not stick to the resolutions. So, we asked him to step down. He, however, continues to be a party member,” Punjab AAP disciplinary committee chairman Dr Daljit Singh said.
“Chhotepur had tried to induct people from other parties. He was in contact with the suspended people from the party, which was affecting the overall foundation of AAP. So, we took the decision,” he said. Faridkot MP Prof Sadhu Singh too confirmed the decision. Chhotepur, when contacted, said that he was not aware of any such decision.
