Chandigarh, April 8: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday expelled Jassi Jasraj from the party for six years for anti-party activities.
Party’s Punjab Convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur said Jasraj had been warned several times to mend his ways and work for the promotion of the party. Howeverhe paid no heed to his advice and party had to resort to this step to ensure discipline in the party.
The party said Jasraj has been spelling out his own parallel programmes in the area without consulting either the volunteers or the senior leadership. He has also been making appointments without consulting the volunteers as well as the leadership. He was also issuing defamatory statements and videos on the social media against the senior leadership, said the party.
It may be mentioned that he was the AAP candidate from Bathinda in 2014 Lok Sabha election.
