AAP ditched Delhi in quest for Punjab : Sukhbir

Jalalabad, September 21: The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today strongly castigated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP ) for ditching its responsibility towards the people of Delhi and said that AAP in its greedy quest for attaining power in Punjab has paid absolutely no heed to the development and aspirations of Delhi masses.

Interacting with media -persons here today on the occasion of sangat darshan of villages falling under Jalalabad constituency, the Deputy Chief Minister also took on Navjot Singh Sidhu and said that Sidhu or his Awaaz e Punjab front won’t be able to make the slightest of difference to the political equation in state and would come a cropper.

Earlier, during the sangat darshan at various villages falling under the Jalalabad constituency, S. Badal laid the foundation stone of CC flooring in the villages besides distributing development oriented grants for various welfare centric initiatives such as NREGA bhawan, SC dharamshalas, sports stadiums, Boundary wall around village ponds, Submersible bores, Gym rooms and sports equipment for e.g. Volleyball nets. He also inaugurated the shed and green fodder chopper for the gaushala at Village Chak Mannewala and announced the grant worth Rs. 10 lakh for the gaushala.

Touching the developmental plank, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the SAD-BJP government has effected matchless development since independence throughout the state especially in border areas. He also divulged that more than Rs. 700 crore has been spent on the holistic development of border area during the previous years. Disclosing more, he said that the SAD-BJP government has undertaken several path breaking measures aimed at ensuring the overall progress of Punjab and these include Surplus power, Atta dal, Pensions doubled, Utensils to poor sections for marriage and other social occasions, Free health insurance for farmers and traders, free 200 unit power to SC households, free power to farmers, excellent road infrastructure.
