Bangi Ruldu Singh (Bathinda), Rubbishing the claims of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to form government in Punjab after 2017 assembly elections as a ‘fool’s paradise’, the Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Parkash Singh Badal said that the AAP would meet the same fate as it had in the recently concluded by-elections where the party candidates’ securities too were forfeited.
Talking to media persons on thanks giving tour of Talwandi Sabo assembly segment Mr. Badal said that the AAP candidates have lost their securities in the Talwandi Sabo and Patiala by-elections which was an indicator enough to make AAP workers realize that the party was near oblivion in Punjab. He added that though in a democratic country every person has right to contest elections but people repose faith in only those parties that have credibility and that work on the path of serving masses.
He said that the people of Delhi gave AAP an opportunity to form its government but party president Mr. Arvind Kejriwal betrayed their faith by resigning from the post of Chief Minister. Mr. Badal added that the intelligent voters will never believe a party that betrayed people.
He added that for the past seven years the stable SAD-BJP alliance in state is ushering in development and prosperity and due to its credibility the people of Punjab have re-elected it creating a history.
When asked about the Indian National Lok Dal leader Mr. Dushyant Chautala selecting Mr. Parkash Singh Badal as the main campaigner for INLD in Haryana assembly elections, Mr. Badal said that he would canvass to dislodge anti-Sikh Congress from Haryana.
At the thanks giving tour, Mr. Badal directed water supply department to ensure that water paucity in every village were solved so that people do not face any kind of problem.
The Chief Minister today expressed gratitude to the people of Jeevan Singh Wala, Naseeb Pura, Kot Bakhtu, Bangi Ruldu Singh, Bangi Nihal Singh, Bangi Ruldu and Bangi Deepa villages for emerging Mr. Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu victorious from the constituency with a record margin which has infused energy in the cadre.
Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included cabinet minister Mr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, constituency MLA Mr. Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, Akali leader Mr. Amarjit Singh Khana, Mr. Vardev Singh Mann, district Sri Muktsar Sahib’s SAD president Mr Manjit Singh Barkandi, SGPC executive member Mr. Mohan Singh Bangi and SAD district press secretary Mr. Om Prakash Sharma. Besides this the CM’s special principal secretary KJS Cheema, DIG Mr. Amar Singh Chahal, deputy commissioner Dr Basant Garg and SSP Bathinda Gurpreet Singh Bhullar also accompanied.
