Aam Aadmi Party appoints Sukhpal Khaira as its Spokesperson

Sukhpal-Khaira

Chandigarh, The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has appointed Ex-MLA and firebrand leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira as its Spokesperson for Punjab.

Khaira who belongs to an important political family of the state is the son of late S. Sukhjinder Singh former Education Minister, who too was known for being a fearless, honest and upright leader of Punjab.

Khaira who left the Congress party recently to join the AAP had received a tumultuous welcome and applause from the Punjabi’s worldwide. Khaira is known for digging out important issues of Punjab with facts and figures, which has been a constant cause of embarrassment and worry for the Badal government. During his tenure as a legislator, Khaira vehemently opposed the anti people policies of Badal government tooth and nail. He was virtually considered as “one man army” against the current oppressive regime, since most of the senior Congress leadership remained hand in glove with the Badal-Majithia clans.

It is pertinent to mention here, that in order to gag the voice of Khaira the Badal government has tried it’s best to implicate him in many false cases under a well planned vendetta drive, but they utterly failed to muzzle his independent voice. He is known to call spade a spade, even if it amounted to criticizing the Congress on sensitive issues of 1984 anti Sikh riots, the SYL issue etc.

Khaira is one of the very few leaders of Punjab, who are very active on social media and have brought to public domain burning issues of Punjab, through his well orchestrated videos.

Considered as a fiery orator, Khaira carries an image of a clean, educated and fearless leader, due to which the AAP had inducted him into the party and has now appointed him to the important position of the Spokesperson.

His appointment as Spokesperson which has taken place with the concurrence of AAP Convener and Delhi CM Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, will definitely boost the prospects of AAP in the run up to 2017 state elections.
