Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, February 20: The Punjab vigilance bureau today arrested Mansa additional deputy commissioner (development) and two others in the Jheorheri land acquisition scam. This land was acquired for extension of Chandigarh airport in Mohali.
They are ADC (D) Gurvinder Singh Sarao, BDPO Malwinder Singh and VDO Ravinder Singh.
Two others named in the probe have absconded and raids are being conducted to nab them.
The scam relates to the money that the Jheorheri panchayat had received for the land acquired for airport extension.
