Punjab allots new vehicles to 13 fire stations

Chandigarh,The Punjab Government has allotted 13 new vehicles to the different fire stations located in different cities of the state. It was disclosed by Mr Anil Joshi, Minister for Local Government, Punjab. He said that the Government of india and Punjab Government has allotted funds to the department to provide vehicles/other gadgets pertaining to the fire service for older 17 districts.

Mr. Joshi said that the department purchased 13 Tata-207 vehicles and these vehicles were allotted to Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda, Ferozpur, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Faridkot, Sri Mukatsar Sahib, Sangrur, Abohar and Moga. He said that due to the congested roads and narrow streets of holy and historic city Amritrsar, small range Tata-207 has been allotted for this city. Similarly considering the demand of Abohar and abiding by the Hon’ble court orders another tata-207 has been stationed at Abohar.

The Local Government Minister further said that the department has approved the case for the creation and recruitments on the 127 posts of firemen, leading firemen and drivers in Bathinda, Faridkot, Rampura Phul, Jalandhar, Khanna, Dearbassi , Mohali, Moga, Dasua and Gidderbaha.
