Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 10:
The Government agencies and private millers have procured total 2005339 tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till today evening.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 2005339 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 1914328 tonnes of paddy (95.5%) till date whereas 91011 tonnes (4.5%) of paddy has been procured by millers.
Giving the details of paddy procured by Government agencies, Spokesman said that PUNGRAIN had procured 587280 tonnes (29.3%), MARKFED procured 444498 tonnes (22.2%). PUNSUP procured 400052 tonnes (19.9%), PSWC procured 232971 tonnes (11.6%) and PAFC was able to procure 212585 tonnes (10.6%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 36942 tonnes (1.8%).
