Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh

The Government agencies and private millers have procured more than 273742 tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till today evening.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 273742 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 268842 tonnes of paddy (98.2%) till date whereas 4900 tonnes (1.8%) of paddy has been procured by millers.
Giving the details of paddy procured by Government agencies, Spokesman said that PUNGRAIN had procured 297904 tonnes (28.3%), MARKFED procured 237861 tonnes (22.6 %). PUNSUP procured 211869 tonnes (20.1%), PSWC procured 121045 tonnes (11.5%) and PAFC was able to procure 113399 tonnes (10.8%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 16019 tonnes (1.5%).
