Chandigarh, September 25: Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal today blasted the dwarf Akali leaders for their failure to grasp even the persuasive efforts in the positive and constructive direction saying he could only pity them.
“These pigmies have tried to distort my statement exhorting people to continue to focus on providing good education to their wards. Parents are known to take every step to get good education and this statement was only in that context. The interpretation given by the Akali Dal that I am asking the people to remain empty stomach is not only travesty of the facts but reflect pettiness of the thinking of these mindless leaders. ”, he said.
He asserted that Capt Amarinder Singh government was committed to bring about positive change in the quality of life of the people in Punjab through multi-pronged approach and the first major step has already been taken by initiating the procedure for loan waiver to farmers. The decision would come into effect when notification is issued after clearance from the Election Commission.
He made it clear that the Congress government would bring about total change in the lives of the people state by fully implementing every clause of the manifesto.
