Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Punjab Pradesh Youth Congress today launches its Membership drive for the 3rd round of organisation elections. PYC President Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary alongwith Sh. Harish Chaudhary Secretary AICC, S. Partap Singh Bajwa President Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, Sh. Anant Dhaiya Secretary IYC released the membership forms from Punjab Congress Bhawan, Chandigarh today. The membership drive is open for 2 months i.e. till 21st January 2015.
Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary stated that the democratic process of constituting office bearers in the Youth Congress were started by AICC Vice President Sh. Rahul Gandhi in 2008 from Punjab which has successfully covered the entire country and the 3rd round process have started from Punjab. He said through this process a large number of youngsters got the opportunity to participate in active politics throughout the country and helped creating youth leadership. Giving due representation 2 of the 13 Lok Sabha Constituencies are reserved for SC’s through draw. Ludhiana and Faridkot will be reserved for SC’s for the 3rd round. The election model is attached for your reference. The new process of election will be completed by 30th April 2015. A Mobile Application (with IYC) is also created to promote membership. The PYC President and Incharge Secretary IYC alongwith present office bearers will tour the entire state of Punjab to boost Youth Congress membership. A list of performing office bearers from the present committee will be released later who will be eligible to contest the elections for the next state committee.
