Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, August 4:
To enable the workmen who are the voters of Punjab working in the factories situated in the State of Punjab within the revenue jurisdiction of Gram Panchayats for which Bye-Elections of Sarpanches/Panches of Gram Panchayats-2017 is being held on 06-08-2017 (Sunday), it is considered in public interest to declare 6th August, 2017 as holiday to the voters of aforesaid jurisdiction in lieu of their normal weekly holiday.
A spokesman of the Labour Department, Punjab disclosed this.
