WhatsApp has officially started rolling out an optional two-step verification for its chatting app. The new feature is expected to add more security to the user’s account.
When the users have the feature enabled, any attempt to verify your phone number on WhatsApp must be accompanied by the six-digit passcode that the users choose. In order to enable the two-step verification, users are required to open WhatsApp, go to the Settings option and select the two-step verification option from the Account option.
The company started the two-step verification beta last November. All iPhone, Android and Windows users can avail the new feature.
