Chandigarh, Slamming Congress for sheltering the culprits of the Sikh genocide, Shiromani Akali Dal today said that Mr. Rahul Gandhi was suffering from amnesia that’s why few months after admitting involvement of his party leaders in the mayhem and he has handpicked Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar for his team of 9 leaders for Delhi poll.
Raising a scathing attack on the Congress party, General Secretary Shiromani Akali Dal and Member Parliament Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra said that Congress instead of punishing the guilty of the Sikh massacre always rewarded them with plum posts and ministries. “Thousands of Sikhs were killed, discriminated and insulted, but not one single person has been held responsible. Instead, Congress rewarded people like Sajjan Kumar, Jagdish Tytler and H K L Bhagat and gave them tickets to contest the elections. We can’t expect justice from them”, he added.
In a statement issued here, Prof. Chandumajra said that such double faceted tactics of the Congress party have now become a routine feature. “People of Punjab cannot expect the toothless Congress leaders in state to oppose of this decision of Sonia Gandhi because they are themselves on her mercy. With this latest Anti-Sikh development, it is now an open secret that the Congress party is a party of murderers,” he said.
He also said that the Punjab Congress leaders are trying hard to save their faces because they know that people of our state would never forget the 1984 genocide in which thousands of Sikhs were massacred and lakhs rendered homeless. “It is the right time that the Sikh community residing in Delhi should teach a befitting lesson to the Anti-Sikh Congress party during the upcoming Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections,” he said.
