Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh,The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Mr. Shivraj V. Patil today presided over a high level meeting with senior officers of Chandigarh Administration attended by Adviser to Administrator, Mr. K.K. Sharma, Home Secretary, Mr. Anil Kumar, Finance Secretary, Mr. Sarvjit Singh, Chairman Chandigarh Housing Board, Mr. Vivek Partap Singh, Secretary Transport, Mrs Bhawana Garg, MD CITCO, Ms Kavita Chauhan and Mr. MM Sabharwal, Joint Secretary-cum-Director Public Relations.
After discussing issue related to Diesel Auto-Rickshaw at length, Mr. Patil said that a joint committee of Adviser to Administrator and Chief Secretaries of Punjab and Haryana would frame a policy to sort out the problem of diesel auto-rickshaw. He said after that the issue would also be discussed with the Auto Rickshaw drivers. He further said that till the policy was framed the ban on entering of diesel auto-rickshaw in Chandigarh would be lifted.
