Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Renowned Industrialist, Social Worker and Vice Chairman of Punjab State Planning Board Sh. Rajinder Gupta has been appointed as General Secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal.
Disclosing this here today President of Shiromani Akali Dal S. Sukhbir Singh Badal, in a press statement issued here, said that to recognising Sh. Gupta’s contribution towards society and industrial sector SAD has appointed him as General Secretary of Party. He hoped that Sh. Gupta will carry forward the legacy of SAD and contributes to the welfare of the party, society and Punjab with his dedication.
Sh. Rajinder Gupta is chairman of Trident group. He received the prestigious civilian award PADMA SHRI from President of India in 2007 for recognition of distinguished service in the field of Trade and Industry. Sh. Gupta presently holds the office of Vice Chairman, Punjab State Planning Board in the Rank of Cabinet Minister and also attached with Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab S. Sukhbir Singh Badal for advising on matters related to Government Reforms, Employment, Skill Development, Technical Education, Industrial Investment and Infrastructure. He is also a representative of Trade, Industry & Commerce on the Board of Governors of Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion and is Chairman of Advisory Council of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh of FICCI.
