Toronto: A Toronto pizzeria is getting in on the election action south of the border with pizzas inspired by the two presidential candidates.
North of Brooklyn Pizzeria wants Torontonians to cast their vote in the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election by participating in what they describe as a “unique pizza poll.”
From now until Nov. 1, patrons of the pizza shop can cast their vote for Trump or Clinton by purchasing the “Donald Pie” or the “Hillary Pie.”
Trump’s pizza contains American pepperoni, sausage, orange cheese and jalapenos while Clinton’s consists of aged blue cheese, smoked chicken, and “partly redacted” arugula.
Each pizza will set you back $25 for an 18-inch pie.
“(Toronto is) hugely affected by American politics, particularly the results of the historic 2016 election,” one of the co-owners of the shop said in an online video advertising the contest.
“We are going to let the good people of Canada voice their opinion on the 2016 election by voting with pizza.”
At the end of the contest, the pizza shop says that an anonymous American-Canadian citizen will be donating their vote to the contest winner.
North of Brooklyn has four locations across the city, including 650.5 Queen Street West, 469 Church Street, 1181 Dundas Street West (Get Well Bar) and 229 Geary Avenue (Greater Good Bar).
