Twitter first introduced the ‘Moments’ tab last year with the aim to allow users keep a better track on breaking news and other events.
Twitter is now planning on replacing the ‘Moments’ tab with a new ‘Explore’ tab.
“As part of our continued efforts to make it easier to find what’s happening on Twitter, we’re testing a new tab for content discovery,” the company said in a statement obtained by Mashable.
This change is still its early testing phase and is only available to a limited iOS and Android users. The ‘Explore’ tab is expected to include both, discovery features as well as collections of the daily ‘Moments.’
Twitter already had a ‘Discover’ option that allowed users to find new accounts to follow and scroll through a list of tweets that suited their interest. However, it seems like the company plans on clubbing the two features together and provide users with an enhanced Twitter experience.
