iPhone 7 makes hissing noise under stress

The new Apple iPhone 7 variants, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, are reportedly producing a ‘hiss’ sound when under load.

The faulty sound was first noted by Stephen Hackett of the 512 Pixel website while he was restoring his iPhone 7 Plus via iCloud. He claimed the noise to be coming from the back of the device, potentially from the CPU.

In a video posted on YouTube, Hackett tried to showcase that the sound gets worsened when the iPhone is put under load.

Later his Video post, people on Twitter reacted saying that they have experienced a similar problem.

According to iMore , iPhone 7 variants are not the only devices that make a ‘hiss’ or ‘buss’ sound. The last two-generations of iPhone, all recent iPads, Macs, peripheral like routers, and other electronic devices produce a similar sort of noise when under ‘high-intensity’ CPU/ GPU activity.

Hackett has already filed a complaint to AppleCare, which he said has agreed to replace the phone.

However, Apple has not yet commented on the reports.
