Patiala, In a press conference addressed by Sh. Hardial Singh Mann, IPS, SSP Patiala in which he informed that in a drive against tightening the noose around the bad elements of the society under the supervision of Sh. Jaskiranjit Singh Teja, SP (D) Patiala, Insp. Bikramjit Singh Brar, Incharge CIA staff Patiala along with the Police party have busted a gang of vehicle robbers with an arrest of its 04 members. Those arrested are 1) Firoz S/o Jaggu Ram R/o Rawla Distt Sri Gangnagar 2) Sunil Kumar S/o Ram Chand R/o Dabur Distt Pali (Rajasthan) 3) Om Prakash S/o Ankit Lal R/o Pali (Rajasthan) 4) Kamlesh S/o Ghanaiya Lal R/o Dausa (Rajasthan). Police have recovered 04 Bollero and a Swift car total worth Rs. 38 Lacs from them.
Further, Sh Mann informed that on 12.10.2014 police party of CIA Staff Patiala had a laid naka at Badungar Chowk near Rajindera hospital Patiala where they received a secret information that 1) Firoz S/o Jaggu Ram R/o Rawla Distt Sri Gangnagar 2) Sunil Kumar S/o Ram Chand R/o Dabur Distt Pali (Rajasthan) 3) Om Prakash S/o Ankit Lal R/o Pali (Rajasthan) 4) Kamlesh S/o Ghanaiya Lal R/o Dausa (Rajasthan) are vehicle robbers and are actively involved in the areas of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. This gang steal vehicles from these area and use to punch there engine numbers, Chaise numbers and prepare forged documents such as bills and registration certificates and use to sell them to people by making it as an authentic vehicle. Acting on this information police has registered a case Fir No. 194 Dated 12.10.2014 U/s 379,467,468,471,411,120-B PS Civil Lines Patiala and arrested the accused from Chhoti Baradari near LIC office Patiala and recovered 04 Bollero and a Swift car having forged number plates total worth Rs. 38 Lacs from them.
On Preliminary investigation it came to light that the Firoz is the leader of this gang. This gang was active in the areas of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and had stolen more than 50 vehicles from these areas. They further use to punch the engine numbers, Chaise numbers and prepare forged documents such as bills and registration certificates and sell it to innocent peoples by making it an authentic vehicle. There are 25 cases registered on this gang in various Police Station of Gujrat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana etc. Further investigation is going on and involvement of others may come forth.
