Victim in fatal Caledon crash was 12-year-old girl, family says

Toronto,A crash involving a stolen minivan driven by a young person that careened off a roadway in Caledon early Tuesday morning took the life of a 12-year-old girl.
The family of the girl told CTV Toronto on Wednesday that they are devastated by her loss.
Ontario Provincial Police say a Toyota Sienna minivan was heading north on Hurontario Street when it crossed the centre median and struck an object off the shoulder of the roadway.The girl was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver, a male under the age of 16, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver has been charged with failure to comply with an undertaking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, criminal negligence causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
He is expected to appear in court in Orangeville sometime on Friday.
