Peel Police – Public Safety Advisory – Robbery

Brampton – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the culprit of a robbery incident.

On Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at approximately 4:30 pm, the female victim was walking on a catwalk in the area of Fernforest Drive and Black Oak Drive, Brampton when she was approached by the male culprit. The culprit grabbed the victim, knocked her down to the ground and repeatedly assaulted her. The culprit ripped a chain from the victim’s neck and removed cash from her purse.

The culprit is described as male black, in his late teens with a thin build, clean shaven and a short afro. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black shirt and jeans.

Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance.
