Mother of missing Calgary girl found dead: police

CALGARY — Police say the mother of a missing five-year-old Calgary girl who is the subject of an Amber Alert has been found dead.
Investigators say officers were called to a home in the northwest Panamount neighbourhood around 8:30 p.m. Monday after relatives could not get in contact with the woman.
Officers went inside and found a female in her 30s dead.Police believe her daughter, Taliyah Leigh Marsman, was abducted from the area by an unknown person Monday evening.
Taliyah is described as a mixed-race child with a slim build, brown curly hair and brown eyes.
A vehicle police initially said may have been connected to the disappearance has been found.
